whohasit Frequently Asked Questions
Following are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about whohasit. If you don't see an answer to your question below, be sure to contact us and let us know.
What is whohasit?
whohasit is a 100% free online service that monitors hard-to-find or otherwise in demand products at many of the internet's most prominent and most trusted retailers.
whohasit monitors product availability at dozens of retailers simultaneously, so you don't have to. You can view the latest product availability status at all of these retailers right on the whohasit website.
But, our most popular feature is our Stock Alerts. Stock Alerts allow you to wander near or far from your computer, but still be alerted the moment the product you are looking for becomes available for ordering or pre-ordering. Receive instant notifications on your smartphone or other mobile device (iPhone, iPad and other iOS devices only for now, but Android support is on its way!), via email, or via an audio alert on your desktop or laptop PC.
Is there any cost or other obligation involved in using whohasit?
Nope. None. There is a free registration requirement (requires only your email and a password you select) which takes about 10 seconds to complete.
How do I get started?
It's easy. Just head to the home page and search for the product you're looking for. You can also view our full list of product categories if you prefer.
Once you've found a product you'd like to check the status of, or want more info on, simply click on that product to view it. From there, the product page will guide you through following a product and setting up your Stock Alerts for that product.
What is does it mean to "follow" a product?
Following a product simply means your account is set to monitor and configure Stock Alerts for that product.
What if I don't see the product I'm interested in on whohasit?
Don't worry. Send us a note with your product request and tell us a bit about it. If we think there's a reasonable level of interest from the whohasit community, we'll add it. While we can't add all requested products, we add a lot.
